The landscapes are very beautiful, because we will experience all the mountain environments: huge meadows, pastures, rocks and rocky mountain all over. Landscapes are only a small part of this trek: there are many curiosities like the sources of Po river, the longest in Italy, the Waldensian people and in addition, at the foot of the Monviso, the Italian Alpine Club was founded with history of Italian alpinism.
In this trek it is easy to spot animals such as Chamois, Ibex, marmots and many other species typical of the Alps. Although in Italy the tour of Monviso is well known it is less frequented and crowded compared to Mont Blanc and Monte Rosa, so you can live a trekking experience very close to the peace of mountains.
This trek in its full version, with the ascent to some trekking peaks with a dramatic panorama, has a duration of 7 days, including transfers, but it is possible to shorten the days up to 3 days of walking (always consider 2 days only for transfers to / from the airport).
The accommodations, during the summer, are in cozy alpine hut, where in the evenings you can find a good and typical hot meal, showers and the possibility to have a packet lunch available. It is possible to trek in the autumn months, but the shelters are closed and there are available only the winter bivouac where it will be necessary to bring food, pots and dishes. This involve a bigger and heavier backpack and greater physical capacity.
It is possible for groups to personalize: number of days, difficulty and other preferences by contacting the Trekupitaly staff directly.
