This wonderful trek will cross the entire protected natural area, discovering the most beautiful alpine Ossolan pastures, stunning alpine lakes, wide alpine meadows reaching, in four days, the beautiful and welcoming Val Formazza. We will admire peaks like: Monte Leone, Monte Cervandone, Punta della Rossa and Punta d’Arbola (Ofenhorn in swiss german). We will discover the Walser culture, a people of German origin that since 1200 d.c. has been stable in these valleys making pastoralism and cultivation “heroic”, we will meet endemic plants and flowers, and there will be the chance to see wild animals.
This trek has a duration of 4 walking days and 2 airport transfer days, but it is possible to shorten the days (always consider 2 days only for transfers to / from the airport). The accommodations, during the summer, are in cozy alpine hut, where in the evenings you can find a good and typical hot meal, showers and the possibility to have a packet lunch available.
It is possible to trek in the autumn months, but the shelters are closed and there are available only the winter bivouac where it will be necessary to bring food, pots and dishes. This option involve a bigger and heavier backpack and greater physical capacity.
